I'm inundated.

Down to watching the last hour or so of a stage of the Tour each day.  No time for more.  At that the competition is riveting.

And then there's the daily Wimbledon.  Down to the last two women.  Fortunately the incredibly loud Sabalenka lost.  I don't mind her so much with the sound off but like Sharapova I can not stand to listen to her noise for an entire match.  And now I don't have to.  I'm pulling for Barty but it should be a good match with Pliskova.  I like them both.  Barty just looks so smooth and like she's barely hit the serve that clocks in a 116.  (For those of you who don't play, the fastest serve I hit in my 45 years of tennis was maybe 85 or so).

Much as I am kind of neutral about his personality, I think Djokovic will win the men's Wimbledon but we'll see how he does tomorrow.  He's really not been tested yet which is an amazement in itself.  I'd like to see him win a gold medal and the U.S. Open mostly because so many say he can't.

And then there's Euro 2020.  I've watched a little of it and enjoyed seeing England make it to the finals.  The country is going to have a rafter rattling day if the country wins on Sunday.

And I need to get a bike ride in tomorrow on top of all that before I take my bikes into the shop for tune-up and refitting while I'm gone to Seattle.

You're definitely right about Euro 2020! I have a friend living in a tower block in London and she said she found out England won from the screaming she could hear at ground level. These are people who are still living on the glory of a World Cup win in 1966. Another one would tear the roof off. I can't interest you in cricket, though? NZ, ahem, just won the test cricket World Championship:). No screaming, though, we're just quietly pleased:).

Closest I've come to cricket was one day on a balcony of the Raffles Hotel in Singapore (not to name drop or anything). I sat there and watched for a while a game across the lawn. Zero idea of what I was watching but it was fun.

Quietly pleased. I like it.

I have to say I'm not a big fan of wall to wall sports on TV. We've got BBC1 and BBC2 both showing Wimbledon from lunchtime onwards, and then one of them switching to the Euros along with ITV when there's a match, or rather at least an hour before the match to predict how bad it will be and then for at least an hour afterwards to criticise how bad it actually was. I'm not a huge football fan at the best of times and once Wales were knocked out I was pretty much over it anyway.

Luckily there are a hundred other channels showing repeats of old TV shows as usual so I can dip in and out of them on a whim while the sport is on.

I don't really follow sports of any kind but of course I'm hoping Barty will win the tennis.

She represented Evonne Goolagong and the country well both in her playing and in her tribute and demeanor. She is such a nice person. I was pulling for her.
