I've got dog loving today for a couple of hours and the weather should be excellent for it.  Sunny and in the 60's.

I've been sharing the big dogs as I do try to spend some time with four or so of them whenever I go there.  I take them for a walk and just generally do whatever they want to do.  And feed them treats.

But there is another building separate from the big dog building.  It is where most of the action is, laundry, data base maintenance, a pretty sophisticated electronics room, and maybe 30 small dogs.  I've been stopping by on my way out and sitting with the small dogs.  I'm not very quickly learning their names and here is an example:

My goal today is to learn this one's name

He/She looks cranky here but it is mostly because I'm not petting him/her (no, I haven't tipped him/her over to find out) while I'm taking a picture.  'They' are actually really nice and cuddly.  My assumption when I see a Pomeranian is that they are just looking for a way to bite you.  So I waited for this one to come to me and ask to be picked up.  We came to an agreement and spent a while together.  I'll do better today with a name and sex.

Other than that, things are quiet.  Everyone is back to school and back to work and the walking paths are much better.  The way it should be.

It is hard to tell if they know me or just that I know what they are like and what they expect and can be there first. I tend to interact with the same five dogs each time. But, really, all of them love human interaction so much you'd think they knew you every time.

Same with the little ones. There is always a senior type person (like me, but old) who is sitting on the couch in the little dog room with a dog or two in their lap. It is like eating candy. No work at all. Just sit for a while and they will come up and want a lap. So fun.

Sweet puppy! :)

My only experience with a pomeranian was the one that I snuck into the hospital in my purse to visit his mama who was a patient and one of my church members and had been in the hospital so long that her furbaby had stopped eating. Both of them perked up after their reunion. :)
