Resting day

I did not do much of anything today. My legs are fine but I didn't want to push them. Three days in a row of leg work of one kind or another and tomorrow is Dog Ranch day so I thought I should take a break. So I baked some bread. It is the NY Times no-knead bread which is so easy to make it always feels like cheating. I added some shredded asiago and chopped rosemary. It is delicious:

The texture is perfect:

I've got a couple of small steaks and some corn to go with it for dinner. Add a salad and I'm happy.
Tomorrow is backwards day. Turns out I've got a massage scheduled for 2:30 in the afternoon so I'm going to see the dogs in the morning after I walk Zoe. It will be a good experiment for the days soon to come when the temp will require me to be there in the morning.

Date: 2022-04-20 16:36 (UTC)No-knead is great. I mean, if you think about it, that's essentially what ciabatta and a lot of those other rustic, loose, simple breads are. You just fold 'em a few times because kneading would wreck all your lovely air bubbles.
I want to make a loaf of this too! But we will see. The boyfriend has requested potato bread and "mozzarella bombs" so those may need to come first.
