Off to do some business
May. 26th, 2022 08:47I'm headed out shortly to meet with my pool cleaning business group. Still a definite maybe we'll do something. I've drafted an outline of the business and if it sounds feasible after today I'll start on a project chart and get some dates around the execution. I've already got a pretty good idea of what needs to be done and how. No clue about the money or my position. I'm going to try to put myself in the place of operations manager to chip off some income with the intention of rolling off the job after it is all worked out.
Meanwhile a job I'm not doing any of at the moment is in the news. I've been working for a company that verifies signatures against voter rolls. One of their big clients is the state of California where they have petition drives all the time. It is a weird data chasing job and I tried it for a bit and socked away $8 for my time. If I wanted to work a lot of hours I could probably make $500 or so a month but it is a LOT of hours for that and the work is not easy. But they've been sending out frantic emails offering bonus money for anyone who will work on a Michigan voter verification project. I heard in the news that already one candidate has been dropped for insufficient verifiable signatures. This is the Governor's race, among others, and is a huge national deal. Interesting to know how it is done down where the rubber and the road meet.
Speaking of road, it is time to hit it and meet up with the pool business group. We so need a name. One of the things on today's agenda.
