Zoe on drugs

I gave her some Xanex so she won't be too anxious with her annual physical today. She's got some shots and general poking around but they won't find anything wrong. She had a thorough physical as part of her anti-aging medical trial. This is basically getting some shots and contributing to the monetary support of our vet. But she's got to get the shots. The vet is still in Covid mode. I've not been inside a vet office since January of 2021. I'm ambivalent about it. There's a lot of trust involved in just giving them your dog. But moving to another practice for that reason seems kind of pointless. One thing about not going in as I was unaware that the practice had been sold. There is only one vet there now and she is the owner and I don't think I've ever met her. We deal with the front desk and the nurses so the doc is behind the curtain.
Zoe does not care. She's stoned. That girl and her drugs.
My back is better but I'm not sure why. PT, for sure. I've been a lot weaker from not doing any kind of real work out. I walk every day and ride my bike not often enough but don't do any kind of resistance training with body weight or external weights. And it shows. I've lost a lot of muscle mass in a pretty short time. Age is the culprit and putting in the work is the only way to break even. I'm not going to get ahead.
I also upped the Tylenol dosage. I bought some arthritis strength slow release stuff and it may be helping. Regardless I'm in less pain. Today's walk was still a challenge but at least I could complete it. And I've gotten up out of my chair several times without the usual pain spike. So, something is working.
Time to get ready for the vet.
