Rain

We finally got some of those storms that have drenched the rest of the country. It rained most of the morning. We walked the dogs in the part of the Ranch that has gravel. A few of them did not want to go. It was really cold and messy. But the Huskies and the Pyrenees were in heaven. One of them I took found every puddle she could find and jumped in. It was great.

Lots to clean inside for those that could not or did not want to go outside. But the floor is painted concrete and cleans easily.

Joey is still doing OK. I hung out with him for a while. He is permanently on pain meds and they don't want him going out. Not sure I'm on board with all that but he's got his palace set up and is OK for now.

We had one of the dogs die a couple of days ago. I found out today when I got there to walk him. And subsequently suggested they set up a way to let us know other than just going up to the apartment to see it empty.

Apparently he had some kind of gut ailment and couldn't eat. And went from fairly healthy to having to be put down in a week. Tanner of the broken ear. He was a good, kind dog.

After the Ranch day I had PT. My back is a LOT better just about the time I was starting to think it was a permanent condition. A couple of days ago I bought some arthritis strength Tylenol and have been taking it three times a day along with the baclofen. No idea if the PT is helping that quickly or the Tylenol works better if you take it the way it says to but I've been able to move better. I can tell my core is starting to become more solid and that makes so much difference. It seems too soon for it to be making to much difference since I went downhill so quickly.

Whatever is doing the job I'm liking it.  I have half an hour or so sometimes when it does not hurt at all and I forget about it.  View of things to come, I hope.

Oh no, not Tanner! He had such a sweet face. And yes, surely they could find a kinder way to let the volunteers know.

Sorry to hear about Tanner. That would have been a shock to find out. Glad your back is feeling better!

Right! If you love a dog you inevitably have to deal with their death because of their shorter life span. You are doing such a good thing.

I’m sorry about Tanner. It’s good that he didn’t suffer for a long time, but still a shock.
