The thing about my back getting better is I've got to do something to get there. In the past just 'being' was enough. But now I've got to do the very senior version of crunches and various leg workouts to strengthen my core and hips and back. The fact that it is working is only a little help. It IS working. I'm much better and hopeful that I'll be 100 percent again, something I was not so sure of for a while. Or 100% of what someone of my age can be.

One of the exercises my PT gave me (I've actually graduated or been thrown out of PT depending on your point of view.. I'm on my own regardless) was to just do steps on a six inch step platform. Doesn't seem like much but it was really both in my range and very helpful. So I decided to look for a six inch step platform. Not so long ago I was doing aerobic jumps on and off one a lot higher but now I'd probably fracture another vertebra.

But I did find one that is six inches so it is on the way. BUT WAIT, there's more. It has a couple of added features. One puts a wheel on either end so that it rocks back and forth. The other puts a ball in the middle so it rocks 360 degrees. When I was younger I used to watch TV while balancing on a balance board:

I loved it. Fed my ADHD.

No interest in doing that but I'm hoping I can get control and build up some of the small balance muscles I've lost. Of course I'll have a hand on or near my very stable dresser that sits next to my workout area.

I've also got an exercise ball, one of those big ones, coming and figured out a way to store it neatly out of the way.

So I'm opening my own movement gym.

Use it or lose it. It is actually: Use it and lose it, albeit more slowly. But that doesn't work well on a T-shirt.

I would hate those exercises but I’m glad you are getting your mobility and strength back. Getting kicked out of physio is the worst. I never feel like keeping up with the exercises once the incentive of an appointment is gone.
