bill_schubertWell, I think all is well now. I talked to the TT person who a few years ago was me and figured out how to amend the return so that it removed the crap from my old company. It was no change in taxes but was more correcter.
Not sure the IRS would notice or care but I thought it was a better idea than doing nothing. And it is right for next year. The biggest advantage of using the same service, TT, is they keep all the info. That does, of course, lead to problems like what just happened to me. I didn't want that info included and they never asked so it just fell into the return.
Next year will be a breeze. Gas prices will be down so we won't have to worry about that pesky oil income that I don't pay withholding on and hopefully there won't be any medical bills so we'll take the standard deduction. In that case taxes will take about 10 minutes.
Here's hoping.
