News from the portal to Hades

The local news station said that reversing the direction of our ceiling fans (we have three going all the time in summer) would make it cooler. So I went through the house and cleaned them all off and reversed their direction. It is still nearly 100 degrees out so I don't think it worked.
I'm a hot ticket for Pickleball apparently. I'm now playing Monday, Wednesday and Friday with a maybe for one of the two weekend days. The play times are 07:30 so by the time it gets too hot, we're done. The only down side is I need to walk the dogs first so it means I get up before 6, walk them, come back, change all the soaked clothes into my pretty much identical clothes that are dry and get to PB by 07:30. The timing is OK. I have a protein shake and some toast and have water prepped from the night before. When I get back my clothes are soaked through so I shower and dress for the third time before my nap.
Tuesday and Thursday are my dog walking days. Lots of steps but easy ones. Still I go through three changes of clothes.
A couple of months ago when I first started playing PB I saw an ad for a new type of paddle. It was not Indigogo or Kickstarter but the same idea, just direct to the manufacturer. I bought the paddle in advance. It was the first run of 500 and I was number 289. It came over the weekend and I got to use it today. It has a kind of grippy surface, that helps with a lot of spin, and a good sweet spot that is forgiving when I hit slightly off center. Fun to play with and I'll only get better with it playing as much as I am.
My Fitbit readiness score yesterday said to not do anything. I complied. I suspect after this morning it will say I should rest tomorrow too. I need to work on going to bed earlier. When Dana is not here I end up staying up later.
Dana is coming home day after tomorrow. All three of us here will be glad to see her again. Toby will be beside himself.
