Beautiful day for the doggies
Dec. 5th, 2023 11:39This morning it was cold and sunny. I took three different jackets with me not knowing what it would be like. Starting out I wore my thick sweatshirt but swapped it out for a light nylon jacket after and hour or so. Just a beautiful day. There were three of us and we got all the dogs walked. There are 27 of them right now and only a couple that are on injured reserve and can't be walked right now.
When I first drove up this is what I saw:

This is one of the little ones. There are 27 'big' dogs but maybe 50 small ones. This is one of the small ones. I got a close up. She looked so cute sitting in her Christmas outfit in the morning sun.

I don't know any of the small dogs' names. But she is cute. I just said hello and went to work in the other building.
This is Willow:

She is pound for pound the strongest dog I've ever been dragged around by. She is maybe 45 pounds but can, if I'm not paying attention, pull me off my feet. And she is relentless about tennis balls. She has about 20 in her apartment collecting one every time she goes out with someone and NOT giving it back. It is MINE, MINE...
I ran her in the enclosure throwing tennis balls back and forth for about 15 minutes. She ran after them all. She does not retrieve but will case a ball with another ball always in her mouth. She will occasionally put down the ball in her mouth to get a treat but will immediately pick the ball back up when she's done.
Very sweet but relentless.

All so lovely.
