We got up this morning and took my Smart Car to the Luxury Auto Repair (name seems right) to get the oil changed and have them do a once over check for anything that might not be right. I'm hoping they find some hoses and such to be replaced and nothing else. They will need to replace the drain plug that some bozo stripped last oil change.
The guy that took my car indicated that it would be done today. If they don't have parts problems I guess that is a good assumption. It would be nice. The Mercedes place last time kept it for two or three days without even looking at it.
Meanwhile we're down to one car and Dana is taking it soon to get a massage leaving me alone with the bratty children.
We will likely go for a walk once it warms up a bit.
I did a little more on Tiller. It is nice to get an email in the morning with a list of the transactions from the previous day and a list of account balances. A bit of a surprise today was what appeared to be a credit from Walmart for $1.23. Pulling the thread once I got on the site and I realized it was an IRA gain within Schwab. I set up the Auto Categorization to show it as an internal transfer and not to report it elsewhere. It is income but income that might well go away when things reverse. And it is not in my pocket.
This part is a little hazy for me. Not how the IRA works but how it is mapped in Tiller. But all will eventually come clear. I usually let such things kind of slowly settle in my mind and one day it all just makes sense. I'll read some more of the documentation today and work a bit more on the budget.
And take a nap. That worked really well yesterday. I find that if I read for a while I end up taking a 15 or 20 minute nap and it is just perfect. Clearly I need to practice that a bit more.
My heart procedure is scheduled for the 7th of Feb and the nurse called and send me all the documentation of what to do, what to expect, what happens after. I get to stay one night in the hospital in Round Rock. I don't mind a night. The procedure is laparoscopic through my leg. I've got a pickleball friend who did it in November and told me all about it. Huge no big deal. Other than putting a basket in my heart. But having done the brain surgery thing this is a much less intensive deal. It is only one step above office surgery.
It will be nice to be off blood thinners once the have verified that it is working correctly. That will not be until August. My heart tissue actually grows around this device the purpose of which is to seal off a pocket in my heart that ends up creating clots. Once that is fully sealed I won't need blood thinners.
