1000 things

Used to be I could be on a plane travelling with almost no effort. Part of that was I didn't have a CPAP and a plethora of meds to be sure I had organized. But I had more practice and a more elastic mind able to juggle many more things with ease.
Not quiet as good at juggling now but I have more time to do it. So things kind of balance out. And we're only going for five days.
Dana is already in morning over the separation from Toby. I have cameras set up with Wyse and need to put that on her phone too so I can share them. We've got a sitter through the Rover app. Way too expensive but she's a nice lady (a wfh type with her own dogs and experience) and the dogs reacted well. She's coming by four times a day so they will have company.
Part of it is travelling with another person. Last time Dana and I went somewhere together was five years ago. My sister and I are nearly mind melded when we travel having come from the same early life experiences but Dana has an entirely different group of experiences most of which add stress and confusion. So I'm organizing for two.
But we're getting there. The grass is cut (not a minor thing this time of year when it grows quickly) and the refrigerator has been cleared out of things that might spoil but for tonight's meal.
In a first for us we are going to have carry on only. Nothing checked. Dana said that we could share a suitcase but I know better. I'll have room in mine that she will eye for space to bring back sea shells. She won't have room at all and will take a purse that is about the same size as a suitcase, I suspect. But we'll make it.
Flying Southwest for the first time in a couple of years. They used to be a much better airlines to fly but now are not my favorite. But their Austin to Jacksonville is a good deal if the travel sucks. We have to change planes in Nashville on the way out and Atlanta on the way back. In retrospect I think I might have done better on the flights but I don't remember how I ended up with this.
We're leaving early enough things should go smoothly. TSA has a really nice app that gives the location of the PreCheck line in every airport and the current wait time at that line. So smart. Looking at things right now we are going way too early and will be at our gate with two hours to spare. But that does give us time to get another route if something happens in Austin. The city is between us and the airport so one never knows.
OK.. time to start being sure everything is charged and downloaded and laid out to pack.
I always forget something. About five minutes into the drive away from the house it occurs to me whatever it is I forgot. The object is to ensure the thing I forget is not critical. Once I've figured out what it is I did forget I'm relaxed.
It is amazing how often that happens.
