Our five year old Samsung washing machine has gotten worse and worse. The spin cycle just bangs and locks up. It happens more and more with lighter and lighter loads. So, online.
Turns out you can replace the rods that the basket sits on. The rods are attached to springs like the suspension of a car. No shocks, but springs. The springs get weaker over time. A new set of rods and springs cost $42 at Amazon.
Now to dissemble and reassemble my washer. There is a video of a guy doing it with my exact model and he's kind of a goober fiddling around figuring it out. The rods come Sunday so I've got stuff to do.
