bill_schubertGot my scheduling call today. I'm to report at 7:15 tomorrow morning. A couple of hours sitting around waiting for my turn. It is conveyor belt work. My doc will spend 45 minutes replacing my hip. He does five in a day. On the bright side, routine surgery is good surgery. But it is so strange for something that will change my life (and has done three times before with my other after market parts) to be such a nothing routine to the people doing it.
I had a nice morning with the dogs at the Ranch. I've got a goal to get better, something to work towards. No idea how long it will take but getting back into the car and driving is mostly the limiting factor. Johns Hopkins says a month or so before driving. That sounds about right. I've got an automatic so the issue there is getting into and out of the car and sitting for any length of time (half an hour each way to the Ranch). Mid July or so.
