Water softening in progress

bill_schubertThe water softener guys came early and turns out they can replace my resin beads and fix the valve that wore out for about $500. Something like $1500 less than I anticipated. So happy day. And we got an oil payment from Dana's family oil ownership for more than the $500 so I only have to make up for the car and plumber costs. It will bel a close thing and we're back to very little in savings but it is better than anticipated.

It was nice walking the dogs today. Cool enough in early morning to wear a light jacket. All the dogs are well and happy including this lounging three legged Pitbull, Duke.
He has a reputation for having heart problems and laying down because he can't walk further. Bullshit. He's a manipulative pit bull who doesn't want to go back to his enclosure so he lies down as if he's exhausted. He's got nearly everyone but me fooled. But I speak pit bull. They are a stubborn and manipulative breed. So funny.
