bill_schubertI've mostly kept my head close to the ground not reading or listening too much to the news. Self defense. Change what you can, accept what you can't, protest in the street for the rest.
Last night I thought I'd listen to "The Daily" while making dinner. It was about bird flu or, as it will soon be known, "all of the domesticated animals flu which is increasingly transmitted to humans and for which we have no longer have an international venue to learn what is best to be done nor do we keep statistics, on anything" or something like that.
It fortifies my desire to stay away from people. I kind of believe that as a population we're in a bit of trouble and don't know it yet. Controlling what I can. I'm so not looking forward to October and the cluster of people kicking off flu season with a wedding.
And this morning I accidently picked up a news story that Elon clawed back $80 million without notification. Just ran the ACH in reverse. Money in NYC account and then not. The banks let him do it in violation of standards in place for decades. Which makes banks a little less safe. FDIC is run by????
So other than my health and my money the production of "My American Cousin" was great.
I'm putting my head back in a hole. Turns out Ostriches don't even actually do that. Sigh.
