Fun day on the playground

It is 70 degrees out and sunny. There were a dozen PB players today many of whom, like me, had not played in maybe 10 days. It was great fun and I'm a little sore but not dangerously so.
Otherwise not much going on.
I had an appointment scheduled for this Friday with my 'structural' cardiologist, the one that put in my watchman device. But I had no reason to meet with him so I cancelled. He and I last talked that the European model of watchman insertion did not require any follow on testing after six months and there is no indication that I've got anything other than a perfect placement. So I'm going with no more. I'll take what I have. The device is designed to block off a vestigial pocket in my heart that could, with my AFIB, collect blood and create a clot to be used in my head for a stroke. The watchman is a basket inserted in that pocket for the heart tissue to grow around and block off any possible place for the clot to form. The initial look-see indicated that the watchman was properly placed so I'm not doing any more follow up.
In the same breath I did schedule my regular cardiologist to go over my blood tests that I'm going to have before I go see him. That is in a couple of weeks. I'm doing two different things to keep my cholesterol under control (neither of them has anything do do with a really good diet, heaven forbid they ask me to do that). So I need to do a check to be sure that the drugs are doing what they should. I suspect they are. But I've not seen him since last spring and thought I'd check in to be sure he's OK.
Meanwhile, I did put forth the effort to be number one in my league last night. The only time I'll do that but it was fun.

Rob E was working hard to beat me but finally gave up. It was fun to do once.
I'm enjoying the courses. Better than doomscrolling.
