No pickleball today, frowny face. I was asked to help with the dog shelter and accompanied the media guy down to Austin to the CBS affiliate taking a dog for their Wednesday Friendsday segment:

You can see the dog in the monitor to the right. He was cute. Not Beaux cute, but cute. This is the same way we ended up with Beaux. It's a pretty easy volunteer gig that keeps my hours up.

Meanwhile, Dana went to a cardiologist who says she's been having TIA's all along. Now I wish I'd gone with her instead. She never asks the next question which is, obviously, WHAT THE FUCK????

So, 25 or so years of TIAs?

And now, of course, she's completely freaked out.

He has not posted his visit notes yet so I've not had access. She's got lots of follow on appointments the rest of which I'll attend.

Other than that in Texas medical news, cutting edge as we are:

"House Bill 25 will allow people to buy ivermectin, which is mainly used to treat parasites in livestock, without a prescription. "

Darwin is alive and well and practicing law in Texas.

And speaking of which, the county traffic approved our intersection for a traffic light months ago and they did all the prep work for it in August. And then... nothing. Two days ago in the middle of the night someone got confused, actually two someones got confused and there was a fatal crash. Yesterday the new light went up.

I'm thinking they should memorialize traffic lights like they do with roads. Name them after that last person who had to be killed to get it done.

Darwin. Again. He's a busy man for being dead.

TIAs again? That would be really surprising given than Mum had only one and it showed clearly on the MRI. I can't imagine the last hospital missing that! I hope he's wrong.

OK, according to Dr Google a TIA does NOT show on an MRI (meaning despite what the ER doctor said to my mother she probably had a mini-stroke and not a TIA.

However, the symptoms of a TIA are pretty much the same as a stroke, and that doesn't sound much what Dana's symptoms have been. So mysterious esp with what the neurologost said.
