somewhere between being adhd, moving to a new building we just renovated, running a business and attempting to expand into new areas in a competitive environment there's a lot of noise in my head and pieces of information poke through every now and then for me to act on.  or more precisely a neuron fires off that holds some piece of information..
one of those pieces of information is the fact that my EVO, still under warranty as are all of them right now, has a broken power jack so i can no longer charge it
i have three batteries.. one in a charger at home, one at a charger at work, and one in the phone.. rotating the batteries is not that difficult...
i called in and have an rma number but can not seem to give up the phone because..
well because it does a number of more or less critical things for me
and
i'm in the middle of a book on the kindle app.. well i was in the middle of one when the problem started.. and it had a sequel and the library had a 7 person wait list for the sequel and i couldn't wait so i bough the second book just after finishing the first one.. and i'm in the middle of it..

i'm going by the sprint store to see if they can help but i doubt they can do anything

i can keep the battery rotation up.. not a big deal as long as i remember to swap before walking out of the door

i can transfer things wirelessly.. and don't transfer things much anyway..

but the warranty will one day run out and i will be forced to do something about it.. . .

sigh

the noise just turned back on so i no longer have to think about it until my htc neuron fires off again..................

Well, that just sucks. But, then we both seem to be having connection karma issues today. My Comcast internet keeps going on and off like someone's toggling the switch. Every time I have to log back onto the corporate network. It's making me more than a little cranky.

I finally fired up the EVO hotspot but it was just too slow. So I tried tethering... which I had done before with no issues. Only this time, there were issues. Finally, I looked it up in the fucking manual and then had to go to the HTC site to download the HTC Sync app.

BUT, when I did... Plugged the phone into the computer, turned on 4G and very nearly got the same speed that I had with my DSL line. Freaky.

Yes, I would absolutely try the Sprint store. How in the hell can they expect you to go without your phone?? That's ridiculous!

But, on an even more important note... Did you hear that Kindle is going to allow book sharing?? Sounds like it might be highly limited but still, it would be very cool if possible. So, sounds like we'd better compare notes on purchases to avoid overlap when possible.

Here's what I bought:

Alone Gardner, Lisa
61 Hours Child, Lee (Jack Reacher #14)
Star Island Hiaasen, Carl
Victim Six Olsen, Gregg
Bloodthirsty, Carp, Mitchell

This is probably best in a google doc. Doing now - stay tuned.

Well, I did not say but the two books are "The Girl with the Dragon Tatoo" and "The Girl Who Played with Fire". As much as I HATE following the trendy I got hooked by accident.
But they are pretty good.............

Some you said before kind of clued me in. Tattoo is on my list of things to maybe check out. Glad to year it's worth it!

I really love having books to read on my phone. I remember your telling me once you were reading a book on your iPhone and I thought you were nuts. But it took me about 2 mins to get hooked myself!
