Rainy Day

That time of year.  I thought we were going to have a drought this year and we may yet but it is rain time now.  Flash flood warnings posted for today.  Not that we need to worry.  At least not until there is a lot more rain than this.  But now through Sunday is rain time.  In another month there will be none so I'm enjoying it and the free watering for the yard is nice.

Quiet day other than that.  I already went on our Zoewalk listening to Weir's "Project Hail Mary".  It is always so disconnected listening to something like that when on a walk enjoying nature and walking and Zoe.  Wild flowers and science fiction. 

I've got another day pretty much by myself.  Yesterday Dana went to see a friend down in Austin and spent the day doing stuff that did not cost much but took all day.  And today she has her monthly infusion of gamma globulin to keep her immune system tuned up so I'll be by myself again.  This after being in this fairly small house every day with someone for almost every day.  It is a weird difference.  We've done amazingly well together for the past year and are actually closer than we were a year ago.  Being on my own takes some adjustment.  Not bad but strange.  And Toby HATES it when she is not here.
