I only rode for an hour today but took on a couple of half mile hills. We live on a plateau so heading out in one direction or another will result in a big down hill which always results in a big uphill (or a phone call home). I've been wanting to test myself some so elected to do a few miles of hills. I managed to complete them but it was and is still exhausting. Part of it might be riding pretty hard twice in three days. I used to could do that but my old man constitution and the weight I'm carrying now is catching up to me a little. Rest today. Maybe tomorrow. Then a day with some weights and maybe elliptical and then back on the bike. Throw an additional day of rest in there. See how that does.
Meanwhile back at the checkbook, my amended return finally cleared and I received a bunch of the money back I'd paid and $130 in interest for the time they held on to it. The interest rate, although below what I'd have done in the stock market, isn't bad. So I've finally filed for 2019. Yay me! Now if the idiots who run the books for the company who needs to give me a K-1 for my 2020 taxes will finally finish the job I'll file for 2020. No idea if I will owe more or not until I see the form. Could go either way and I'll keep some of the 2019 cash handy until I know.
The rest I'm going to move from checking into some stocks, likely S&P index. I've had money sitting in a savings account too long. May as well have it under a mattress. Got to keep up with inflation.
