Stuck at home

With my car at the Mercedes dealership (no news yet...........) and Dana at a Doc appointment I'm stuck here with the children.  I might go on a small bike ride and end up at the pool just because I can.  But meanwhile I'm stranded with the children.  

Other than that a quiet day.  US Open tennis began yesterday and already a couple of exceptional matches.  It will be a nice couple of weeks with lots on TV.

After weighing myself three times this morning and getting three different weights I ordered a new scale.  It has bells and whistles and still costs only $25.  It integrates with Google Fit and tells me way more about my body than I really want to know but when I start working out for that triathlon I'll have the equipment for it.  I'm thinking my weight is going to be a little skewed in the morning.  But overall I'm doing well so it is no matter.  Logging and planning is 3/4 of the battle.

The Texas snow storm of last year finally caught up to us.  After a lengthy explanation having to do with maintaining their A- credit rating the mutual electric group that supplies our power indicated that we'll be charged about $10/month extra for the next two years to build up a financial cushion again.  The financial logic was sound and their approach was as good as it could be.  So not great but still manageable.
