A little cool today to ride but it was still OK. Other than the flat. I hate getting a flat but this one was particularly annoying. It was a staple, like a paper staple. I tolerate extra weight in my tires to get ones that are tough and I find a staple sticking out of the flat tire. I've got the equipment and experience to fix it and actually enough equipment to fix probably three or four flats on a single ride. Redundancy. Never can tell when the road will be filled with freakin' staples! Other than that, a good ride. They've added a light at the intersection that allows me out of our residential area to a good riding area. MUCH safer than darting across the 65 MPH four lanes of traffic. So I'm happy with that. Friday will be warmer. [image: Capture.JPG]

I've been donating all my Amazon Smile bucks to the ASPCA as long as I knew that was an option.  No regrets.  But I recently discovered that the place I go to love on the senior dogs is available as a donation.  I'm absolutely thrilled to be able to donate more locally for a specific group especially one I work with.
They have what I would call a vigorous fundraising group.  The local Sun City gives, I suspect, a lot of money and time.  They recently had a Valentine's Canine Tea there and raised a bunch of money that way.  The group is well funded and these dogs have every amenity from a tornado shelter to filtered and softened water. So they don't so much need me but giving through Amazon and giving with my time lets me off the hook from feeling like I need to contribute bags of food or boxes of treats.
Of course, the residents deserve all of it.
