A bike ride and a flat

A little cool today to ride but it was still OK. Other than the flat. I hate getting a flat but this one was particularly annoying. It was a staple, like a paper staple. I tolerate extra weight in my tires to get ones that are tough and I find a staple sticking out of the flat tire. I've got the equipment and experience to fix it and actually enough equipment to fix probably three or four flats on a single ride. Redundancy. Never can tell when the road will be filled with freakin' staples! Other than that, a good ride. They've added a light at the intersection that allows me out of our residential area to a good riding area. MUCH safer than darting across the 65 MPH four lanes of traffic. So I'm happy with that.
