Alone again

Well, not really. Zoe and Toby are here. But Dana is not. She is headed to Tyler to stay with her aunt who broke her hip (struggling syntax there... the aunt did not break Dana's hip, she broke her own hip) and is not doing very well. Apparently she is having blood pressure problems for the first time in her life and they put her three (classic example of someone way too old to have three dogs two of which are less than a year old) dogs in a kennel. I've never been overly fond of the woman but Dana likes her and has gone into savior mode. She is good at that. I'm only good at taking care of her.

So I'm alone with Toby, who has a foot that is healing, Zoe who suffers from allergies, and me who still has a back that is very slowly getting better.

It is and will remain very quiet here. Weird to be alone this time of year but I'm OK with it. Tons of football and 43 studies on Prolific if I want to make some change.

Speaking of which, the IRS send me $105.43. Of course their web site is useless. No explanation. I'll likely get something in the mail in a few weeks. I was pretty sure that I was even with them but no matter. It is time to start all over again anyway. Fortunately this year I've got no company profits or losses so I can file quickly and cheaply. Such a change.
