Finally Fall
Oct. 3rd, 2023 11:38As I write this it is 81 degrees outside but this morning it will cool. Nearly enough to be called chilly and it lasted for a while. Below 70 when I got out to the Dog Ranch. So nice. Next couple of days are going to be even more so. Rain is all but guaranteed on Thursday so I'm going to fertilize the grass tomorrow. Maybe we'll have green grass for a short period of time after it cools off from the 100s and before it turns brown again in the winter.
The grass we have is indestructible and thick enough to keep out the weeds. I only water once a week soaking it really well every Sunday. Free watering on Thursday would be a twice week watering which, with the fertilizer and moderate weather, should make it nice.
Tribulations of suburbia.
This is Kota. Kota will be happy with the cooler weather:
Dana is not home yet but will be on Thursday. Toby is not happy about the absence and has started sitting in her chair.
He's doing well and we have a new routine that matches Zoe's eating and sleeping and walking but he really misses Dana. He'll be a happy dog on Thursday.
