We're not doing this
Oct. 25th, 2024 10:46Pickleball this morning for a couple of hours was fun. My shoulder isn't happy but I recently bought an ice pack specifically for it so I'll put that on. The whole exercise thing is painful. My knee hurts, my right hand hurts and my shoulder hurts. All osteoarthritis. Nothing to be done. Using it is more important than overusing it. Lack of use causes more problems. When I'm playing it is not too bad. Just when I'm not playing. Sigh.
Came home and Dana has CNN tuned in. I said hi and left the room. I'm not doing the obsessive election thing. What happens will happen. I've voted. None of it will effect us. Whatever they say no one is stupid enough to fuck with social security, medicare, or military pensions so I'm not too worried. If the gay story time is cancelled in the library, I'll survive. The bathrooms in Discount Tire are already for both sexes and I survived.
The dogs will be there to walk and pickleball with continue.
Chaos vs slightly less chaos.
I'm not amused but also no longer attentive.
Meanwhile, my friend, Billie, went to the vet and they discovered he had sinus cancer which is really hard on dogs. So he is not coming back from the vet.

I found out last night. He was my favorite curmudgeon. I don't think he much liked anyone but he tolerated me and was always the first dog I'd walk in the morning. He knew that and was always waiting for me expectedly.
It is the nature of the business but I'll miss his fat old head and cranky personality.
