She's back
Feb. 18th, 2025 12:16Khaleesi has been gone for nearly a month. They thought she had cancer but the last I heard, the masses they removed were not cancerous. Anyway, she was at the hospital and then at someone's home recuperating. She still isn't allowed to go on walks but I sat with her for a while today and she was perky and her sweet loving self.
In not quite so good news, Shawn, the deaf pitbull has died. It is not surprising. He was a senior dog and had some kind of blood disorder that resulted in his having nose bleeds that would not stop. He had one that the vet could not stop and she made the call.
He was a sweet old man but it was definitely time.
Today was kind of weird. The Ranch is closing to volunteers for the rest of the week. I think until Sunday. They don't want volunteers to endanger themselves getting there when it is really too cold to do anything with the dogs anyway.
We may go out on Sunday. They will want all the dogs to have lots of outside people time so if it is good weather we'll do it.
