Governor Abbott has apparently decided that Texas is not contributing sufficiently to the leveling and, with some contributions from us, the increase in Covid deaths in the country.

Trying to get a Covid vaccine feels similar to a piranha feeding frenzy.  The primary source of information in this world wide pandemic appears to be Facebook and, in my case, NextDoor.

You are not alone. There are special Facebook groups set up to help other people get vaccines. I got an email from a friend who called Walgreen's at 5 PM to ask if they'd had any cancellations, and rushed over there to get vaccinated because they had some, and recommended I do the same. It's ridiculous, utterly ridiculous.

I can't wrap my mind around this decision. In a career of bad decisions, this is the worst! I know it's to distract from the power grid failure, but I can't figure out any reason to open Texas up except that Texas lives don't matter.

Unfortunately it does make sense.

My brain wants to explode since we're your state's next door neighbors. *cries*
