Headlines for this year

Top headlines for the year will be (unless/until there is a major disaster or conflict):

1 — Number of vaccines given (and the deplorable people who won't get them and all the noise surrounding that discussion)

2 — How fast the economy is growing again (the Dems will be banging that drum.. not enough, not as much as they could or should)

3 — Looking back on the past year — gonna' be lots of that.  It has already started.  This is the most well documented era that has yet existed and we will be inundated with that documentation

4 — And, of course, Kanye and Kim are no longer talking to each other

As are millions of others, I went back to find that shot where I was with a group of people in my living room or in the bar all of us un-masked and having a great time just before the disaster.  That picture does not exist.  So I'll just give you these two from this week last year:

I rarely appear in photos because I don't like photos of myself, but I'm very grateful that one does exist of my family and me (three daughters, two sons in law, five grandchildren) on a rare occasional when we were all together in one country on Christmas day 2019.

I wouldn't care if the deplorable people die out. They can rot in Hell.

Even if there's signs of normalcy, I don't think it'll happen this year. It's going to be a strange kind of normal.

Unfortunately, the deplorable people will also kill off some people who cannot be vaccinated or for whom the vaccine is not effective or who were unlucky enough to encounter one of the many virus mutations.

The bigger story will be the lawsuits created when companies order their people back to work but either don't require them to be vaccinated or DO require them to be vaccinated. Either way the Supremes will be involved.

I'm already sick of looking back at the past year. I'm also sick of being told that after a year of this we're all going crazy/bored/depressed/suffering from anxiety. Sorry people, I'm not any of those things. I'm enjoying all the opportunities brought about by everything being done virtually rather than in person in places I can't reasonably get to for entertainment purposes. I'll be really glad when this is over but until it is I'm going to take advantage of the good parts.
