Here is someone walking by my house whose dog suspiciously stops in the yard while she consults her phone.

The results were left behind, as it were, in the yard.

You're nicer than me. If a neighbor's dog pooped in my yard and the owner did not pick up the waste, I'd be shouting at them.

My plan is to watch for the dog walking around one day, identify the owner, put a copy of this video on a USB and hang it on their door with a sign saying that if their dog leaves shit in our yard again I'll return it to their doorstep.

WOW. I hesitate to ask, because Texas and freedoms and all that, but do you have any bylaws about picking up dog poop? This would practically be a hanging offence here.

Oh, yeah, we've got HOA laws against it and if the car was out of the way I could probably narc on her. But with the car there not so easy. The responses on our neighborhood social media (NextDoor) were a lot of annoyance but one guy who said he had that happen and just put up a bag dispenser. End of problem. I thought that was right neighborly.

There are a lot of 'no dogs on my lawn' signs around here. NOT neighborly.

When I was following this lady a couple of days ago she picked up after her dog and dumped it in the trash where it was supposed to go. So she knows how.

I'll train her if it is ever needed.
