They clearly are not the New England Patriots but after promising that every game of their first season would be 'broadcast' the team failed.  Unless 'broadcast' includes webcast which, on my Roku, it does not.

One of the huge sports turnoffs for me is the stranglehold that, even with the 20 thousand stations I've got, keeps me from watching a local sporting event.  And one could say it is a fairly important one.  The second game by a newly established team in a sport that is actually growing in the U.S. AND the world.

So the first goal and the first win for Austin FC (or, as Dana calls them based on their logo The Groot) were reduced to the size of my Pixel XL.  And, I assume, most of the rest of the games will be so.

I want a bar named 'The Vaccine' that has their own app and requires patrons to enter their card and be vetted.

And can get Austin FC on every television in the place.

The Mariner games and all other shows about them are full of commercials for MLB.TV GET ALL THE GAMES ON ANY DEVICE!!!! Except, of course, NONE of the Mariner games which are blacked out here.

Yeah. Infinite amount of money. If I had a Sling box and an MLB ticket you could watch it on my box. Ridiculously expensive.

Ultimately the system is self defeating. The result is I just lose interest in the whole thing and they lose a customer.

Do you get the big overseas games on your Roku? You could do what a lot of football-mad countries do and decide which "your" team is in the English Premier League (or the Bundesliga or La Liga) and watch those games. You then get the benefit of better players to watch. Even in the UK you might support your local team but if they're not in the Premier League you're more likely to support a Premier League team.

Oh, yeah. That's what I grew up with. No teams in North Carolina when I was a kid. So I grabbed the Yankees and Green Bay since they were the best at the time.

But we've got our first pro team in Austin and it is kind of fun. It would be more so if we could watch them.

We do get Premier League games here but I've not been able to get excited about them much other than to watch one every now and then on Saturday morning.

The local team definitely has an inbuilt interest factor. Although when I was married to my sports-mad husband I did manage to successfully adopt an NBA team.
