All is well. I'm waiting for food. Last time I ate anything other than broth was 36 or so hours ago. The Noom plus program.

The pain block has reduced a bit on it's schedule or whatever it does so my shoulder is achy. They initially gave me some oxycodone and then now are just giving me extra strength Tylenol. Not sure where that's going to go I do know that before I can do any physical therapy I will need hydrocodone and oxycodone some kind of one of those photos. But I'm not really in any pain of course I'm also not moving so we'll see how long that lasts.

Otherwise I'm okay just trying to hang out here waiting for the PT people I suspect. Once I see them and I guess the doctor who I've never seen since surgery come by I'll break out of here. Almost positive I'm heading home today which is fine with me and Zoe.

Meanwhile, breakfast came. I'm trying not to stuff it all in my mouth at one time. So nice to have a whole food and coffee.

Mmmmmmmm

Mmmmmmmm

That food looks GREAT. I hope they start giving you more "good stuff" for pain meds!

Can't believe that's hospital food! Good luck with the good stuff. I know they worry about getting people hooked but Tylenol when you've just had a body part swapped out seems a bit underwhelming. Even extra strength:).

The pain block thing I have is actually pretty cool. It is a port needle in my neck just above the shoulder very slowly dripping pain meds of some kind or other from a ball full of it that I carry around with me. My shoulder is still pretty numb so Tylenol works. When the ball is empty of medicine in two more days I'll have some Percocet standing by but will obviously put it off as long as possible while I can control the pain with this local. All in all it's a pretty good pain system so I'm happy. And now have had a really good nap so I'm definitely happy. And they did have great food. When I had my knee down they had great food at that hospital too. Hospitals have discovered that having decent food is part of the healing process and having some kind of control that you can call down and order it yourself is also part of the healing process so I was able to actually call and ask for what I wanted which was pretty nice. I have better coffee though so it's nice to be home.

Thank you yes they have figured out that hospital food is part of the hospital healing process. And having the ability to order it yourself is also part of that process. So I was happy when I could find the eat. Even happier now I'm home and can eat.

Yeah the breakfast was pretty good. They seafood now is part of the healing process so they have good choices and you're happy to have however much you want.. doing well and at home and drinking my own coffee.

Have picked up some Percocet but they have a local pain block system I have a kind of catheter in my neck that slowly drips pain med and keeps my shoulder numb and that stays in for a couple more days so I don't really have to worry too much about pain management. It's been working well.

I have nothing against broth but it can get old, 36 hours is a long haul. Feel better.

It was what I needed at the time. My throat was very sore from having a surgery breathing tube put in and removed. But I was happy for solid food. We're all better now. Starting physical therapy on Monday.
