I've dropped about 8-10% of my starting weight and have plateaued. For nearly a month. I'm unable to exercise as much (total shoulder replacement in mid October) as I'd like and that is part of the equation. I really need to lose another 10-15 pounds (another 8% or so of my current body weight) to be at my healthiest and to be where I'd like to be.

My choices are:

1 - Go draconian on the numbers, lower my caloric intake and push past.

2 - Just keep truckin' on like I have been for nearly a month and wait for a change.

3 - Stop tracking the numbers and just feel how things should be as if I was on maintenance.

My Noom subscription runs out on 1/23 and I'm way past 304 on the lessons, deep into critical thinking, scientific method and being present. I think were I to stop the lessons now I would have gotten what I need out of it.

My intent is to shift to My Fitness Pal for all the reasons people like it better once my Noom subscription ends. At that time I'll be back on my bicycle.

This post is basically thinking aloud. I'd be doing it on Noom if there was a PC component but typing on my phone in that app is ridiculous. I won't miss that.  Of course I never did it much but if I had I wouldn't miss it.

I think taking a week or two where I stop tracking food and find my own eating equilibrium while I continue to track weight is the way to go.

That is kind of the Noom way. Not really a question there.... just thinking aloud.

I vote option two for like another month!
But if you can trust yourself to do option 3 then that's great :) I tend to lie to myself when I go by "how I feel". "How I feel" is that I could eat a whole cake at any given time, lol

One of the lessons in Noon (and by their count I've done 532 lessons, 1862 minutes) is to take a day off and just stop Nooming and pay attention to what happens. I did the same thing I'd been doing but just didn't record it.

Because we get planned, delivered meals, I know what I'm going to eat for dinner and how many calories it will be. So once I've eaten breakfast I've got a budget for the rest of the day which makes things pretty simple.

I might just jump over and start logging on My Fitness Pal which is where I'm going eventually, in another 25 days when my Noom subscription runs out. I can get used to that system so that if/when I need to log I can.

Meanwhile, of course, I lost a pound breaking through the plateau floor this morning just for spite.

I think I'll put a top end number of two pounds above this morning and not worrry unless I hit that. Then I'll panic!

Ah cool! I didn't know that!
Sorry, I think I didn't know enough to have an opinion on this one haha.

Good job on that pound! Yay!

Not at all. It is good for me to think things through with other's opinions.

I started a little more with My Fitness Pal this AM. Kind of a PIA setting up something new and it has a lot of settings (and ads since I've not yet paid for it).

My Noom training today is about setting my intention. Acting less out of habit, more out of intent. They are talking to me.
