It was warm enough this morning to walk first thing.  We've not been able to do that for several months and it was nice.  Both the discipline of up and out walking and the plus of very few, if any, people there too makes it really nice.

Later today is dog day at the Ranch.  So I'll have all my steps.

I called the social security people, first the local and then when they didn't answer, the national.  Fortunately Google's hold system is such that I didn't have to listen to half an hour of hold music.  SO nice.  Turns out the national people can't do anything to help.  The upshot is they think they should be paying me less and recouping, in one lump, some of what they already paid.  This based on the idea that I had no income in 2019.  I sent them the 1040 tax return that showed my income (you'd think they'd already have that) and the guy said that he saw it had been uploaded.  But they can't do anything on the national level.  It has to be the local office that fixes it.  Since I'd already called the local office and gotten a message saying they were not available, click, the circle was perfect.  The people who can fix it are not available.  The people who I can reach can't do anything.  Reminds me of what Verizon was like when I had their telephone service.

The Google reviews and Q/A's of the local place indicate a long haul here.  Sigh.

Listening to: 'Two Girls Down' which is turning into a pretty good book and is part of a series!
Kindling: 'The Cutting' which is also turning into a good book.
Watching: Season 2 of Upload.

Oh good, more Upload! I wasn't sure with the first season whether it was just going to be silly, but it turned out to have a lot of heart and was funny and smart to boot.

Ugh! I hate Social Security drama!

We went through a bunch with my dad's death. My expectations that the government would make sense are far too high . . . :P
