Blissfully empty day
May. 4th, 2022 08:38 My only calendar entry today is to give Zoe her weekly drug trial meds. That is done as is our morning walk and her breakfast, not on my calendar but clearly on hers. Other than that I've got a full refrigerator and an empty schedule.
With my latest discovery that we are not quite as broke as I thought I don't feel the pressure to do much in the way of money. I've been hitting Prolific pretty hard recently and they have raised their rates a bit so it is a little more worthwhile. And my data entry work for which I've not yet been paid but haven't yet earned much. It is a slow boil that may or may not end up generating anything. I might put in some time today but don't feel obligated.
Zoe needs a bath. It is just time. Back when she had more issues with her skin I gave her one every week but now I do it every few weeks when her coat is too oily or she starts scratching, both of which are today. It is not a huge enterprise. She's pretty good about it. Just a thing.
I started a Kindle book yesterday but will likely dump it. Not engaging and a little simple writing style. It is a serial murder set in the 1800's NYC which is clearly a rip off of 'The Alienist' but, it appears, not nearly as good.
So I might hunt down a good Kindle book today. I've got a few and, of course, access to both the Seattle and Brooklyn libraries. You'd think I could find something.
Off to my oatmeal.
