Good retired day

Toby was coughing last night and this morning in that retching, sad way that dogs cough. We're all in central Texas so we all take Zyrtec and cough and sneeze and drain our way through the entire year. But this was more and different and he was trembling so I think he might have a fever too. I put his sweater back on him and called the vet. They had an immediate appointment and Dana is there with him now. The vet we go to has changed hands half a dozen times since we first started using them. But the staff is always wonderful and they always have an appointment for us. All we need. Access and care.
I'm sure he's OK but it is sad to see him coughing like that.
And, he's back. Allergies. Lungs and heart are fine so just central Texas crap.
Last day of early voting today and I'm ready with my cheat notes. There are 14 propositions and a good discussion of all of them is online so I'm armed and dangerous. I figure that the number of people voting will be so few I'll make more of a difference and there are a couple on the line that matter to us.
And the grass needs cutting. It will be a perfect afternoon do do that. Sunny and cool.
I'm pickled out until Sunday. Wednesday night I had a lesson with a group totaling five of us plus the instructor. It was OK. Definitely a higher level of play. We were all about even and I was challenged so it was a good thing for that. The teaching was a bit slim but we have five sessions so he was maybe just getting an idea of where we were.
The group I need to be playing with (intermediates +) is scheduled for Tuesday and Thursday mornings and the Ranch dogs have not given me a permission slip to miss any days there.
After Wednesday night's late PB lesson and Ranch dogs Thursday morning followed by Zoe/Toby's walk when I got back from there I was pretty tired. But today I feel a lot stronger from doing all the walking. But I also see it as a day of mostly rest. As is tomorrow.
So nice to be retired.
