Zoe is snoring softly on the floor next to me.  Two successive days of Tramadol has kind of zonked her.  She'll be OK by tomorrow.

The doc looked at her and had nothing but repetition to add to what Texas A&M said.  She did take a sample of the node but we won't know until the results come back from the lab.  She did say Zoe's teeth were good.  The only snacks she and Toby get are some version of greenies or the dental chewing gum for dogs.   The stuff is way too expensive but if it is working then worth every penny.

I'd forgotten until this discussion came up about a dog I had for all his life, Dylan.  He was a puppy when he found me and travelled all over the U.S. with me in my truck, lived in houses, apartments and a sailboat.  He was my sidekick through a divorce and a marriage.  When he was about 10 the doctor said he had cancer.  They did an exploratory surgery on him and she said he was full of cancer in his torso, so much they could do nothing.  They sewed him back up and we took him home.  He recovered from the surgery and lived another 3 healthy and happy years with no more treatment or discussion of the cancer.

So, who knows.  I'm not too worried about it.  As Doris says, Whatever will be, will be.

Got that in your head now, don't I?  Go ahead, listen to it.

Yeah. I can't really justify spending thousands of $$$$ on animal cancer treatments, either. Much as I love my animals.

Do you know Pink Martini's cover of Que Sera? They turn it into a really eerie tune:
