bill_schubertMy subscription to Fitbit lapsed. I don't miss it but for the one thing I do like. It used to tell me to rest. It was more of a validation of what my body says but I did use it some. Otherwise I do nothing different with or without a fitbit other than use it as a watch. Yesterday I had over 20000 steps. Walking Zoe, walking the Ranch dogs and playing pickleball in the evening. Today my fitbit would say that my numbers are low and I should rest. I walked Zoe and Toby this morning and all my joints pretty much said the same thing. No subscription required.
Fortunately I looked at my scheduled week and added a Thursday massage. This evening I've got an hour of pickleball lesson that will just be playing three or four games. It will piss off all my joints and tomorrow morning the Zoe walk and walking the Ranch dogs will end up with about the same amount of joint annoyance as today BUT then a massage and nothing scheduled for the rest of the day.
So rest day today. It won't be hard. Dana is going back up to Tyler this time for two weeks. Her Aunt again. The family is taking unfair advantage of her and I'll likely step in after this one or maybe during this one. The Aunt, who I don't like, is recovering from surgery and aunt's two daughters are the ones manipulating Dana a bit. While Dana likes being up there it is still an imposition. She is just beginning to resent it. I like the quiet time but it is presumptuous of them to assume that she should be there for Thanksgiving so they can be with their immediate families.
Maybe Dana will get a piece of the will. If she doesn't I'll be pretty pissed.
Dana is taking Toby with her this time. I think she should for both of them. Plus it will be nice to just be Zoe and me. Weird but nice.
So rest and quiet in a very quiet house. I'll probably clean some today so I can enjoy things more.
