Over the last couple of weeks we've picked up some new tenants at the Ranch. Among them are two pairs of dogs. One set are brindle mutts Tom and Jerry:

They were busy today. I've not yet walked them but will soon. I'll get pix of them next week:

Then there are a pair of pitbull mix dogs, Duchess and Duke. This is Duchess. She is a little ADHD. Nice dog but does not stop moving. It took me a long time and a lot of frames with a partial dog to get this:

And this is Duke:

Duke is a tripod. I don't know the story yet but he's missing one of his front legs. As with most such dogs, he doesn't much care and just keeps soldiering on.

They are both very sweet and clearly in need of care. It will be nice to see them after a few months of good diet and grooming and medicine.

The brindles are beautiful, even though I can't see their faces. I'm looking forward to more pictures.

I look forward to pictures of Duke and Duchess. Poor Duke is too skinny, but I'm sure he'll fill out in his new digs. It's amazing how animals don't know about their handicaps. They just keep going.

Sweet puppers!

Poor Duke, though, looks as though someone starved him. Pit bulls---I know you said he's a mix---are much more solidly muscled than he is.
It will indeed be nice to see them after a few months of good diet, and grooming and medicine.

Used to have a cat who was difficult to photograph. A rescue, she was very friendly and affectionate and curious and when I'd bring out the camera, she was right in it, with her nose on the lens. "Mom? Are you in there? Your face disappeared; bet if I could get inside this thing I'd find you...."
No carefully gauged shots. Whip the camera up, glance through the viewfinder and release the shutter, all in one motion or as close to that as I could manage.

It'll be very interesting to follow the brindles and Duchess and Duke.
