Earlier this week she offered me her Chrome computer which is now too big for her life.  It is for mine too and I've got a working PC that I'm not ready to give up yet.  My intent is to wait for the six year old PC to die and replace it with a laptop or, as I'm doing now, with the Surface I've got until it dies.

So I said no thank you on the Chrome computer.  And of course in two days one of my monitors stopped working.  The PC still connects to the other monitor so I know it is working.  So it is either a monitor problem (my nicest one, of course) or a HDMI cord problem.  Or I just need to take it all apart, clean things up, and reassemble.  I'm doing the latter today.  It really needs to be blown out so a good time for it.  In the olden days I'd have half a dozen monitors and PCs to use as testing equipment and several HDMI cables around.  Fortunately I still have a couple of friends in the biz who can help if I need test platforms for troubleshooting.

Still, I'm on a bluetooth keyboard and mouse and my surface right now.  Thank Google for the fact that I've still got access to everything.  The system is still solid if a little PIA.

Still my sister's fault.
