Merry Christmas

We did, in fact, go see Dana's brother yesterday. He has been bed ridden for maybe five years now and it is a permanent decision. His nerve sheathing turned against him. Sometimes he's got maybe 50% use of his hands but the rest of his body is mostly useless. He's a year or so older than me and just warehoused. It is a nice enough place paid for by his wife. He's an advertisement for a long term care policy. It was good to visit him and Dana will return tomorrow with some ribs I'm smoking today.
Which brings me to my Christmas. Looks like this:
I've gotten out of the habit of smoking meat. Used to do it all the time but I've lost the urge. But Christmas is a good time to do it. I just put them on so it will be four or so hours before they are ready. I've got a Nest cam overlooking my back yard that shows the cooker so I can watch from anywhere and see the thermometers.
We're having green bean casserole because Christmas and mashed potatoes and maybe corn bread. Just the two of us. I might get out of my pajamas later.
