Such a beautiful day

bill_schubertWe just got back from our walk and in the midst of one of this area's most beautiful days I could only think of how long it is until Juneteenth and hip surgery day. I'm at the place I was with my right hip before its surgery. I clearly remember using the shopping cart to help me walk when I went shopping and I'm very close to carrying a cane when I walk the dogs now.
So annoying.
I might just say screw it and go for a bike ride anyway. Fortunately that doesn't hurt as much as load bearing walking. I've got to go to see a Chase person and should burn off some steam first so I don't flame them.
The brief reign of the Lady Banks Roses is over for another year:
I guess it is kind of like the cherry blossoms. We had a good rain last night and I'll cut the grass tomorrow so the grass will be lovely and the rest of the plants will be blooming by next week. A few weeks of that before the sweltering heat kicks off. Get it while you can.
Toby went in for his annual physical. Seven years old and about the same weight as he has been since shortly after we got him. No further notes so I guess he's OK. All the shots and it added up to about $380. I'm sure we could work and get it done cheaper but there is something to be said for going to the same place each time, continuity of care. Anyway, he's doing well and not getting fat. Good combination.
I'm off to figure out how to enjoy the day.
