The sky violated Leander's watering prohibition this morning with a lovely thunderstorm and just the right amount of rain. It is now drying out which will lead to my walking the dogs and later, I think, going for a bike ride. No pickleball.

Early on this morning I got a call from the Chase banker I saw last Friday who was helping me close the account I had open for two days. I probably should have gone to her in the first place and done it right. But there is an inkling that the credit union glitch may be resolving. It is about half right now showing a connection but still not downloading but with it being Monday I'm hoping that the rest will be fixed soon.

I had already changed my SS distribution to Chase but fortunately the .gov does not make changes for a month so May was the first month it was going to that account anyway. And that has been fixed.

So all is back where it was before I started being proactive.

Toby is now fully suffering from Texas allergies. He had his physical last week and his labs were good so we're putting him on Apoquel today. The stuff is ridiculously expensive and increases constantly but it is so effective it is worth the cost. Zoe had allergies so bad at about four years old that she scratched her skin and caused microbial infections and fungal infections and was so sick and miserable that I was considering putting her down. But I found a canine dermatologist that I worked with and in six months she was 100% and has never gone back. I've had her on a fairly low dose of Apoquel and two Zyrtec every day and she has no symptoms of allergies at all.

Toby is on half a Zyrtec every day. We go through four and a half Zyrtec in this house every day. I buy 800 in a batch from Amazon. Dana and I also use Flonase. The dogs use Apoquel. Love central Texas.

There was a story about how the allergies were worse this year because they started earlier. I always think of this chart:

Capture

I'm affected by mold so I'm pretty much year round even without all the rest. My reaction is runny nose. I buy boxes of tissue and coffee the way women buy toilet paper. I've got stockpiles and backup stockpiles so I never run out of the aloe type.

At least we'll get Toby all fixed up.

We are the same here with allergies. I'm on two nasal sprays and three medications, and have an inhaler available if needed, but usually only need that if I'm around my SIL's cat. We often buy 20 boxes of Kleenex at once when they are on the Kroger deal of if you buy at least 5 of something it's cheaper.

Glad Toby will be better!
