For one of the few times in my life I actually feel older than my age.  Normally I feel about 10 or 20 years younger than my chronological age.  I had forgotten the times (after knee surgery and before my last hip surgery) that I felt older than my years.  I've got no control over some of it.  The arthritis happens with or without my involvement.  But I'm not used to that kind of unrelenting pain having been a very fortunate healer throughout my life so I've been letting the pain reduce me. 

Not playing pickleball has been part of the problem.  Not playing at all at anything is the rest of it.

This will all be fixed when I get the hip pain under control but that is a month away still and I'm not happy with deteriorating for a month.  I wish I could play pickleball.  That is really what I need to do but the people I play with would expect two hours of effort from me and I suspect I've got maybe half an hour in me.

It doesn't help that it is over 80 degrees outside at 8 in the morning.

This morning I picked up some stretching videos online and they have helped a lot.  I'll keep pursuing that and maybe do a couple of laps around the neighborhood on my trail bike. 

Meanwhile I've got Nadal to watch play at the French Open. 

And also meanwhile, Ethereum is going up.  My current value is $210.  My actual value (after subtracting the transfer costs) is actually the same.  PayPal says my net gain is 0%.  It is interesting, though that there is a run up so far today.

I was in a bad way before my last hip op. My main exercises that stood me in good stead was swinging my leg back and forth on a step so the bad leg side could be fully stretched while doing it. And also swinging it side ways both x 20 three times a day.
I did both sides. It was my main exercise but i did keep active despite the pain. I had a speedy recovery.
Hope this makes sense and could possibly be of help. Just keep moving what ever way you choose !

I used to do those off the bed on my right side with my other hip. Probably should do both hips.

Not as bad today so who knows.

You're very sweet. Yeah, day by day. Today is better. Walked lots of dogs at the Ranch and rested between walks. We worked through it.

I’m glad you made it out to see the dogs. I worried you might have had to abandon them until after the surgery.
