Cold morning

It was 56 degrees when I got up this morning. So nice and chilly. I had a jacket on for pickleball warmup. Really lovely weather. It's going to get warmer again in a few days but still not hot. Not Phoenix.
I played terribly today and only won one match. This is a group of mostly women, one other guy, and really not in shape or for the most part, very athletic. I try to play at a lower level and that is difficult. And since we're playing doubles I have to play with someone who is likely not much of a player. It is really hard to not say something, to get them to do things that will make them better. And not to get annoyed. I had one nice woman I was playing with who would do the same thing that was not working every time. I finally suggested she do something different (aka - come to the net when I'm up there). Waste of time. She changed nothing and I felt badly for saying anything.
But this is the group that I currently have to play with. I've discovered a place that is really close to us that has Open pickleball. Not organized. Groups of two or four get together and take turns using the court. There are local rules that, of course, I don't know and I don't know anyone there. My worst place to be. No rules, all strangers. But I might swing by and gander. I play well enough to play with most people but I prefer not to be too competitive and many people who play think they are going to make the Olympics soon as PB is in them. I play to 'play' and generally don't even remember if I win. It would be nice to be able to find a local informal group with a little more skill but not too much ego. Hard.
Meanwhile I'm just hanging out catching some Prolific bucks. And washing the kitchen floor. I've got a Shark steam cleaner for mopping the kitchen floor. It works really great but only when I get it out and use it. Weird.
