Such a small thing

We've been in our house for 13 months now and  have been satisfied with the appearance.  My wife periodically moves everything around and I pretty much ignore the changes (she says OUT of my room).

We came from another building in which we had some curtains that I grabbed on the way out maybe four months ago when the sale of the building was eminent.  I washed and folded the curtains and they became somewhat of a permanent fixture hanging over the back of the couch.

I finally worked up the energy to hang them yesterday (after knee surgery 3 months ago my idea of fun is not necessarily up and down the ladder) and now am kicking myself for not doing it long ago.

The three windows seemed fine to us for a year with just the blinds.

What a difference. Just weird how used to the status quo I was and now can't imagine how.

The curtains look really nice.
We have curtains and blinds in our sitting room and I only ever pull them once a year, on Halloween so that the little display I put on the window sill can be seen from outside. I've been thinking of taking them down
