Zoe four wheelin' on the ice

Zoe HAD to go for a walk.  So I put on her foul weather gear and off we went.  This is us getting to the sidewalk which was, at least, flat.  Everything you can see here is covered in ice.  The temp is 21(-6ish) degrees and it is misty so the world is an ice rink and people are actually trying to drive.  You can't see it much here but the cars are mostly just floating along with barely enough traction to adjust their course.  

This was not the only four wheel slip by my girl.  We made it around the block with no major crashes but 21 degrees is really cold.

Yeah, she's surprised by each slip. She does NOT like this AT ALL.

I love her enthusiasm for getting out there! But argh, the slippery surface sends shivers down my spine. Anyone in an icy climate has my awed admiration. I wouldn't last a day without breaking several things.

Part of the reason was what actually did happen. We are now kind of housebound with the snow. Puppies are BORED!!!

Lucky she's so good on the leash - the last thing you need is her pulling you over.

Oh, yeah, I was very careful of that. I was able to help her a few times when she started to slide away and I kept my feet under me and did not walk fast. No emergency room trips during this.
