I went today for my usual stint at the Dog Ranch.  There were four of us (compared to just me yesterday) so it was really nice.  I was able to spend all the time I wanted with the dogs I took out and spent a bunch of time just hanging with Khalisi having my face cleaned.  And still back before 11AM to rest.

My back is just a bit better.  I'll do nothing again today and be good tomorrow with only the much neglected Zoe and Toby to walk.

It looks like Dana will be back on Thursday.  Her aunt who is 85 and just had a hip replacement owns a poodle who is older and two newly acquired puppy poodles.  She has no plan for them should she die and I again told Dana that we were not a plan.  I spend two days a week with about 120 dogs of whom 90 are in a sanctuary as a result of their owners not planning to die so I'm a little sensitive on the subject.

It looks like hip replacement might be convincing Dana's aunt to let the two poodles go.  They are pure bred so they will find a home quickly.  And the elderly one may die before aunt does anyway.

My personal objection, other than the poodle she has is trained to be a snob and isn't very smart, is that we are both in our late 60's and already have two dogs and can perfectly manage their care.  Three would be too much in this small space.  If we needed three I'd have Khalisi or Shadow or Joey or so many of the ones I see twice a week and who deserve a better home.

Now I'm going to take a shower and have a lay down back resting perusal of the next Soprano episode.
