The bed was delivered yesterday. Actually a platform with gears and a plug. It raises the head and the foot and is WAY shorter. I can raise it 3" if needed but I think we'll get used to this. The top of the bed comes up just above the break in my knees so I'm basically sitting down onto the bed. Dana will be close. No more climbing up. The raising legs and/or head part is just gravy. I think raising the legs will be good for her especially in the short term as she still has some swelling.

I visited her yesterday and she was doing well. I can already see her movement is improved. They are teaching her a lot of stuff that I know having been in sports and general movement (ships and skiiing and whatnot) all my life. Much of it is new to her. They are doing three hours a day. Other than that it is the typical bureaucratic hospital crap. She deals with it way better than me. Her attitude is good and she is motivated to get out.

They have said they would OK some follow on PT and I'm hoping to get it at the house. Home visit would be way better. The goal is Tuesday. Finger's crossed.

I'm off to play pickleball then will come back and eat and get ready to visit her around 3. I'm planning to take Toby again. And take an excellent lunch I made yesterday with trout and green beans and yellow bell pepper. It will be just as good cold as it was warm.

I just got off the phone with Dana's case worker who said she will be out of stir on Tuesday aroud 2PM, released to my custody. There will be follow on PT and OT at the house which is nice. The PT will continue as long as they think it is necessary.

All in all it is a good prognosis. I'll go over and see her around 2 today when she gets back from her afternoon PT. She is sore now days from using long unused muscles but she is for the most part enjoying it and definitely benefiting. I can tell by the way she moves now. It is so much better and more confident.

We'll be hanging up the wheelchair for now I think. I'm intending to give my off road bike that I never use to a friend. It is an amazing bike but I no longer have the type of muscles needed to propel it right and I know someone who does and who has a son. I'll be happy for it to be in a good home.

Pickleball this morning and I cut the grass so now it is time for some lunch and get ready to see Dana.
